One of the first and only independently certified hardware wallets available on the market. This model supports over 1000+ cryptocurrencies and 25+ wallet types, whilst remaining compatible with all major operating systems. It's small and highly portable whilst offering top-tier security, utilising the same security chip used in passports. Another convenient feature is Ledger Live, allowing users to buy, sell and exchange via the Ledger app. We feel that the Nano S is well worth the already competitive price, especially when considering the importance of securing assets.
Set up of these hardware wallets is straightforward. After connecting to your device, set a PIN code and create your recovery seed. After which, the wallet will run the user through a security checklist. Whilst security is a clear focal point, Ledger suffered from a database security breach in 2020; carried out predominantly by threat actors within their Shopify partnership. This is the only time this company have endured a security breach, with new accounts remaining secure and unlikely to suffer the same fate.
