The Sky Blue card is an instant settlement card by Swipe.io that has no monthly fees or initial card purchase fee. Sky Blue cardholders get 2% cashback in Bitcoin on all purchases, regardless of whether the purchase is made online or offline. Sky Blue cardholders are rebated $12.99 (or £/€ equivalent) on Spotify, Netflix, and Prime. Currently, the card is only available in the US and Europe, however, Swipe.io Cards will soon be available in Canada, Australia, and Singapore.

Sky Blue Swipe.io Visa requires staking 300 SXP tokens which is roughly $689.65 at the time of writing and must be staged for 6 months. Which is a pretty good deal if you do the math. If you are rebated $12.99 on Spotify, Netflix, and Prime for 12 months you'll save yourself roughly $467.64. Add the 2% cashback in Bitcoin from spending, and you likely already better than zero-sum gains because you're still holding 300 SXP tokens.

Swipe.io was established in 2018 and in 2020 was bought by Binance, one of the biggest crypto trading platforms. Their cold storage provider is Coinbase Custody, they are insured by BitGo and were audited by Certik. This is all very promising information, the caveat is there is essentially zero background information on the company itself. But Swipe.io has all the right and big names behind them, so we are giving them the benefit of the doubt for now. If you are nervous about the lack of transparency then your best option is to stick with the Sky Blue, low stakes and decent returns.
