The Steel Gray card is Swipes second to highest staking card and one of the market-leading crypto debit cards in all areas available in 2021. The card is available throughout Europe and the USA with free delivery to your door. The Swipe Slate provides a generous 4% cashback for both online and offline purchases which is paid directly in BTC. In addition, Swipe Steel cardholders benefit from attractive perks including rebates on Spotify, Apple Music, Netflix, Prime, Uber, and Travala.
Swipe.io Visa provides instant settlement at the time of purchase which means you don't have to prepay your card like many other crypto cards. This seamless functionality is further enhanced by the fact Swipe.io Visa card supports up to 8 Cryptocurrencies and 5 Fiat currencies for POS payments and is practically fee-free for global use.
There are no monthly fees but the Steel Gray card requires staking 3000 SXP Tokens (Swipes native token), which is roughly $6,874.06 at the time of writing. Staking is required for a minimum of 6 months.
Swipe Slate is one of the best cards on the market, but there are some valid concerns with Swipe as a company. They disclose very little information about their history, background or team. On top of this, our experience with Swipe support has been spectacularly awful on more than one occasion. Despite these issues, Swipe has gone from strength to strength and is was purchased by Binance in June 2020. They are partnered with Coinbase Custody who hold customer funds in cold storage, funds are insured up to $100m by BitGo, and their code has been audited by Certik. Are they legit? We believe so.
